북송 정요(定窯)에서 제작된 것으로 추정되는 물고기 모양 매병(梅甁)입니다. 구연부는 물고기가 입을 벌린 듯한 형상입니다. 어깨가 풍만하고 아래로 갈수록 좁아지다가 굽은 밖으로 벌어집니다. 눈은 첩화(貼花) 기법으로 입체감을 더하였습니다.
굽을 제외한 전면에는 흑유(黑釉)를 입혔고, 장유(酱釉)로 물고기 비늘 등의 문양을 그렸습니다. 명대 학자 조소의 《격고요론(格古要論)》 정요 조항에 따르면, "흑정(黑定)과 자정(紫定)은 바탕 흙이 모두 하얗고 그 가격은 백자보다 높다(土俱白, 其價高於白定)"라고 기록되어 있습니다. 이 유물은 문헌의 내용과 일치하며, 당시 흑정 도자가 지닌 높은 위상을 보여주는 사례입니다.
바닥면에서는 ‘尙食局(상식국)’이라는 관지가 확인됩니다. 상식국은 황실의 식사와 궁중 연회를 담당하던 관청입니다. 북송 휘종 재위 기간에 정요에서 상식국 명문 자기가 집중적으로 제작되었습니다. 이를 통해 제작 시기를 북송 후기로 좁혀볼 수 있으며, 관청 관리하에 생산되어 황실로 조달된 어용자기(御用磁器)임을 알 수 있습니다.
据推测，此鱼式梅瓶烧造于北宋定窑。瓶口呈鱼大张口之状，肩部鼓起，肩以下渐收敛，圈足外撇。以贴花技法饰鱼眼，更添立体感。
除底足外，器身通体施黑釉，并以酱釉绘鱼鳞等纹饰。明代学者曹昭的《格古要论》有关于定窑的记载：“黑定与紫定，土俱白，其价高于白定。”此物与文献记载相符，展现当时黑定瓷器的高等地位。
底足可见“尚食局”款识。尚食局是负责皇室膳食和宫中宴会的官署。北宋徽宗时期，定窑集中烧造带有“尚食局”款识的瓷器。由此可知制作年代为北宋晚期，并是在官府管理下生产、供御皇室使用的御用瓷器。
This fish-shaped meiping is attributed to Ding ware of the Northern Song dynasty. The mouth of the vase is shaped like an open fish mouth. It features full, rounded shoulders that gracefully taper downward before flaring out slightly at the base. The eyes are crafted using the tiehua technique, adding a sense of three-dimensional realism.
The entire body, except for the foot, is covered in a black glaze, with details like fish scales meticulously painted in a soy-brown glaze. According to the section on Ding ware in the Essential Criteria of Antiquities by the Ming dynasty scholar Cao Zhao, 'Both black Ding and purple Ding have a white clay body, and their value is higher than that of white Ding.' This artifact perfectly aligns with historical records, serving as a prime example of the prestigious status that black Ding ceramics held at the time.
The base bears the inscription 'Shangshiju'. The Bureau of Imperial Foodstuffs was the government office responsible for the royal meals and imperial banquets. During the reign of Emperor Huizong of the Northern Song dynasty, Ding ware inscribed with 'Shangshiju' was produced in great numbers. Based on this, the production period can be narrowed down to the late Northern Song dynasty, proving that this was an imperial ceramic piece produced under official supervision for the royal court.
