조선말기에 제작된 이층장입니다. 황실이나 상류층에서 향유하였을 것으로 추정되는 고급 목기입니다. 상단은 개방형 수납공간, 하단은 서랍과 여닫이문으로 이루어져 용도에 따른 편리를 고려하였습니다.
전면에는 여의주를 사이에 둔 용과 봉황이 자개와 대모, 금박 등으로 화려하게 시문되어 있습니다. 이러한 구상은 권위와 조화, 번영을 상징합니다. 상단 장의 측면과 하단 장의 나비 모양 장석에 ‘만(卍)’ 자 문양이 투각되어 있습니다. 이외에도 받침대부터 바탕까지 구름, 덩굴, 꽃 등의 문양들이 시문되어 길상 의미를 더합니다. 장인의 정교한 솜씨와 상징성이 어우러진 대표적인 궁중 목기입니다.

此为朝鲜末期制成的二层柜，属于高级宫廷木器，推测曾为皇室或上级阶层所使用。上层为开放式收纳空间，下层则设有抽屉与开合门，方便分类存放物品。
柜正面以螺钿、玳瑁与贴金工艺精心描绘出以如意珠为中心的龙与凤凰图案，象征权威、和谐与繁荣。上层柜的侧面以及下层柜的蝴蝶形铜饰上，镂空雕刻有“卍”字纹。从柜脚至底板，饰有云纹、藤蔓、花卉等多样吉祥纹样，是一件融合了匠人精湛技艺与丰富象征意义的代表性宫廷木器。

This is a two-tier wardrobe made in the late Joseon period, presumed to have been owned by royalty or the upper class. The upper section is an open storage space, while the lower section consists of drawers and hinged doors, designed for practical use.
The front is lavishly decorated with dragons and phoenixes facing a wish-fulfilling jewel, rendered in mother-of-pearl, tortoiseshell, and gold leaf. This composition symbolizes authority, harmony, and prosperity. Swastika (卍) motifs are cut into the butterfly-shaped metal fittings on the side of the upper cabinet and the lower cabinet's doors.
Additionally, cloud, vine, and floral patterns are rendered from the base to the top, further adding auspicious meaning. This is a representative palace furnishing that combines meticulous craftsmanship with symbolic significance.
