원말명초에 제작된 뚜껑이 있는 항아리입니다. 전체적으로 풍만한 동체를 이루며, 구연은 짧게 직립하였습니다. 어깨는 벌어졌다가 저부로 갈수록 점차 좁아집니다. 뚜껑은 원통형 몸체 위에 복발형 덮개를 얹었으며, 보주형 손잡이가 달려 있습니다. 낮은 굽에는 유약이 시유되지 않아 태토가 노출되었으며, 굽바닥에는 모래받침 번조의 흔적이 나타납니다.
전면에 유리홍 기법으로 문양을 시문하였습니다. 주 문양은 양 날개를 펼친 봉황이 당초문과 함께 배치되었습니다. 봉황의 비늘과 길게 뻗은 깃이 세밀하게 묘사되었고, 주변에는 덩굴 줄기와 잎이 얽혀 화면을 풍부하게 채웠습니다. 어깨에는 연속된 당초문대를 둘렀으며, 하부에는 길게 구획된 변형 연판문을 시문하였습니다.
유리홍 발색이 뚜렷하며, 일부에서는 짙은 적갈색으로 응집된 부분과 번짐 현상이 보입니다. 이 유물은 원대 경덕진요 계통에서 발전한 유리홍 시문 기법과 상서로운 봉황문 도상의 결합을 잘 보여줍니다. 원대에는 황제나 귀족의 고분에 부장하기 위한 명기를 제작하였으며, 이 유물 역시 부장품으로 사용된 명기로 추정됩니다.

盖瓶制作于元末明初。器身整体丰腴饱满，短直口，丰肩，肩以下渐收。盖作筒形盖身，上覆覆钵形盖面，顶置宝珠形钮。圈足无釉露胎，足底可见垫砂烧造痕迹。
器物通体以釉里红技法装饰纹样。主题纹样为展翅凤凰与缠枝纹相结合。凤凰鳞羽与修长尾羽刻画细腻，周围藤蔓枝叶交织，布局繁密。肩部饰连续缠枝纹带，下部绘长条分区的变形莲瓣纹。
釉里红发色鲜明，局部可见深褐偏红的凝聚现象及晕散效果。此器充分体现了元代景德镇窑系釉里红装饰技法的发展，以及祥瑞凤凰题材的运用。元代曾为皇室与贵族墓葬烧造随葬明器，此器亦推测为墓葬用明器。

This is a lidded jar from the late Yuan to early Ming dynasty. The body is overall full and rounded, with a short, upright rim. The shoulder widens slightly before gradually narrowing toward the base. The lid consists of a cylindrical body surmounted by a low domed cover, with a jewel-shaped knob. The low foot is unglazed, exposing the clay body, and traces of sand support firing are visible on the base.
The front surface is decorated using the underglaze red technique. The main motif depicts phoenix with outstretched wings, arranged among scrolling vine patterns. The phoenix’s scales and long feathers are finely detailed, and the surrounding vines and leaves richly fill the design. A continuous band of scrolling foliage adorns the shoulder, while the lower section features vertically segmented panel motifs.
The underglaze red is vividly colored, with some areas showing dense, dark reddish patches and slight bleeding. This jar exemplifies the combination of the underglaze red technique developed at Jingdezhen kilns during the Yuan Dynasty and the auspicious phoenix motif. During the Yuan period, imperial and noble tombs were furnished with high-quality ceramics, and this jar is also believed to have served as a tomb offering.
